How do firms gain a competitive edge in fast-changing technology markets? This module will provide students with the tools to address the strategic challenges facing technology firms, addressing questions such as: How does technology affect firms’ profitability and growth? How do firms compete in platform-based (i.e. multi-sided) industries? What kinds of regulatory and ethical challenges are technology firms likely to face? The module is likely to be particularly useful for students who plan to work directly in technology firms or students who would like to specialize in technology industries as consultants or finance professionals.
