This module aims to introduce students to the field of Security Technologies and educate them in the fundamental scientific principles and processes, and associated mathematics underlying the operation of security technologies commonly found in urban environments. It will also allow students to understand the systems engineering approach which must be taken to translate these theoretical concepts in the implementation of effective and ethical security systems.
