This module involves undertaking an independent research project which will culminate in a dissertation of 10,000 words.

Learning Objectives and Outcomes
After taking this module, you should be able to:
- Synthesise background literature and use it to identify research hypotheses.
- Select and implement the appropriate systematic or narrative review or data collection and/or analysis project.
- Write a thesis in scientific style that includes critical analysis of the thesis findings.

This module is compulsory for MSc Infancy and Early Childhood Development students only. ÌýIt is not accessible to other students.

Teaching and Learning Methods
Teaching and learning will be through one-to-one discussions with allocated supervisor(s) and self-directed learning. You will be required to submit a research proposal and a student-supervisor contract.Ìý

Assessment
This module will be assessed by a research project dissertation (10,000 words).
