Description

This module provides students with a focused opportunity to shape and execute an individual research project according to their own emerging areas of interest, which synthesises library and practice based research practice and within this to acquire and consolidate meaningful lab/bench based practical skills. Content and areas of study will largely be shaped by students’ own lines of enquiry established through the individual research project, and the learning will primarily be self led and independent under supervision. For students taking this module within the two year MSc Bioscience (Research and Development) with practice, work undertaken in this module can be intended to form a preliminary stage in advance of the year two research project in respect of evolving thesis and methodology.
