Description

Students will apply knowledge and skills gained in research design, research governance and management etc., covered in prior modules, to carry out a substantial empirical research project drawing on theoretical and/or clinical issues of importance to populations with communication disorders. Students’ work will be overseen by a named supervisor(s). As well as writing a research report, students produce and present an academic poster. Many previous students have used their poster to present their work at conferences and study days after completing their degree. Drawing on teaching in HCSC0003: Research in Practice, students also develop an impact plan relating to their research project. Understanding how research impact can be maximised is a critical for allied health professionals working in today’s health, education and care settings.
