This module introduces students to the professional practice of engineering and architectural design in the context of the construction industry. It addresses a range of matters from business and project management, through intellectual property and copyright to professional codes of conduct and ethics. These matters are conveyed through a series of lectures and seminars, including case-study lectures where outstanding practitioners talk about the ambitions, modes of operation and the business models of their practices.
