Description

This module is meant as a broad introduction to Polish literature after 1939. It includes fiction, drama and poetry written in Poland and abroad and topics such as the role of tradition, the moral responsibility of an individual, the individual and the society, the persistence of Romanticism in Polish contemporary culture, the ethical consequence of W.W.II and communism, the role of the Borderlands, the concept of home and spiritual homelessness and finally, issues of gender, esp. relations between men and women, the masculine and the feminine, the concept of home, homelessness.
