Description
This module introduces contemporary views of ‘parenting’ as a complex dyadic phenomenon where various factors (contextual, cultural, psychological, genetic and environmental) interact. This module will include key theoretical considerations and provide an overview of a range of clinical interventions for parents. The theoretical approach of the module is multiple perspectives drawing on research and clinical developments from different modalities including social learning and behavioural approaches, CBT-informed parenting interventions, neuroscience, systemic, attachment based and psychodynamic approaches.
