Summary of the content of the module / component:

1. Development, anatomy and biomechanics of shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand

2. Arthritis and soft tissue conditions in the upper limb

3. Surgical techniques and complications

Intended learning outcomes:

1. Be able to describe and discuss the epidemiology, aetiology and clinical consequences of musculoskeletal conditions affecting the upper limb.

2. Be able to describe and discuss the surgical techniques available for treatment and the provision of a high quality upper limb clinical services in the NHS.
