Description

Aims: To provide students with a thorough understanding of core concepts and methods of macro-economic theory and policy for the open economy.

Suitable For: BASc students - Science Pathway (Y000 & Y001) may take ECON0018 provided they have already taken ECON0017 in a previous year. Affiliate students and ESPS Dual Degree students on the Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê-Sciences Po programme can also take this module, subject to approval by the course coordinator (and Affiliate Student Tutor for Affiliate students).

Prerequisites: ECON0017 or equivalent.

Assumed knowledge: Students coming in to the course should have knowledge of the 3-equation macroeconomic model of the closed economy and of debt dynamics, as is taught in ECON0017 or equivalent.
