Trainees will develop an understanding of basic physical principles and how these apply to clinical monitoring in anaesthesia. Will include how common monitoring equipment works, why monitoring is necessary and how monitoring can be used to measure and analyse physiological status. To develop an understanding of the relevant physics and statistic sciences for understanding how equipment can be safely used in the operating theatre.
