This module is available for students on MSc EDE, MSc SBDE and MSc HWSB. This module can also be taken by IEDE PHD students subject to there being spaces available. This module introduces future designers & practitioners to the methods, practice & consequences of retrofit utilised to decrease energy demand & improve environmental performance of our built stock. The module explores these issues through the Passivhaus framework, training students to use the PHPP tool to design and analyse retrofit projects. The course is delivered via lectures, workshops, group work exercises and field visits.
