Description

This module aims to cover the basic and applied sciences underpinning Endodontics as well as the clinical evidence based upon which the discipline is founded. The overview will embrace clinical Endodontics, encompassing pathogenesis of pulpal and periapical disease, other endodontic problems such as tooth cracks and fractures, their diagnosis, treatment planning and appropriate classical and contemporary treatment modalities. A rational approach to decision-making supported by literature evidence where possible, will be emphasised and evidence for this sought in the required coursework of two researched review essays.
