Content: At the end of the module, students should demonstrate a comprehensive and conceptual knowledge and understanding of national policies in early childhood education, leadership theories, research and practice. A critical awareness of effective characteristics for early childhood leadership and a critical evaluation of leadership in early childhood education.
Teaching Delivery:
Face-to-Face Learning: This module is taught via 10 weekly lectures and seminars
MA Early Years Education (Online): This module is taught via online seminars.

- Leadership in Practice: Exploring ‘Parental Involvement’ and ‘Partnership’
- Professional Development, Professional Learning and Leadership in Early Years

Module Aims: This module aims to develop a critical awareness of national policies in early childhood education and the effective leadership of them. The engagement with current debates and issues, theories, research and leadership practices will promote a deeper understanding of leading policy and practice in early childhood education. There will be an opportunity for students to critically examine leadership practices within early years contexts and early childhood education.
