Description

This module provides a survey of the main topics in hermeneutics. It offers a brief historical overview of traditional hermeneutics (theological, juridical and philological) and of contemporary developments in interpretation theory (psychoanalysis, phenomenology and poststructuralism), with a special emphasis on recent debates within the social sciences and historiography.
