Description

The Module examines the sets of rules, regulations, laws and ethical issues in the healthcare sector. The Module adopts an interdisciplinary approach to help students to identify and discuss legal and ethical challenges in the relevant subject area. Some of the topics which shall be discussed in this course include legal and ethical issues relating to: Ìý

  • The Structure of the National Health Service and recent legislative reforms in the healthcare sector Ìý
  • Medical Negligence Ìý
  • Consent to Treatment Ìý
  • Mental Health Law Ìý
  • Confidentiality Ìý
  • Global Health and International Public Health ConcernsÌý
