Description
The Dissertation is an independent piece of work of 20,000 words which offers you the opportunity to conduct an original study in early years and primary education or an aspect of childhood, under supervision. Students following this module will design and conduct their own small-scale research project, demonstrating a sound understanding of methodology, research methods and ethics in relation to their work.
Content: Content focuses on the development of research skills in investigating some aspect of provision for children, or of children's lives. This will enable an understanding of methodology, including the collection, presentation and evaluation of data.
