Description

‘Design Practice 3’ is the third and final major design studio to develop knowledge, skills and abilities in architectural, structural and environmental design synthesis. This interdisciplinary vertical design studio approach will enhance the students’ ability to address complex design challenges in the built environment by bringing together ‘know what’ of science and ‘know why & how’ of open design. Pedagogically innovative, this module will harness and evolve the design studio model to utilize engineering tools in the creative design process to augment design proposals with advanced fabrication facilities, engineering laboratories, with world class design teachers to put innovation, exploration and experimentation at the heart of the ‘design practice’ studio.
