  1. Comprehension of Russian (Year 1) A (SERS0059)

Description

The Year 1 Russian language programme ('Comprehension of Russian' and 'Use of Russian') is aimed at students with A level Russian or equivalent. The module will build your skills in Russian in all four skill areas (writing, speaking, reading and listening), and consolidate and further develop your knowledge of Russian grammar, lexis, register and style. You will develop your skills in working with a wide range of authentic language materials.

Module aims:

To develop skills of reading and translating.

To consolidate and further develop a knowledge of grammar and syntax, lexis, register and style, as well as language awareness and language learning skills.

To acquaint students with a wide range of authentic language materials, to develop skills of working with texts.
