The module also aims to equip training practitioners to use psychological theories and psychoeducation to help children, young people, their families and staff to understand and tolerate negative emotions, support education staff with training, implementing peer mentoring approaches, and supporting classroom management in education settings. The training practitioners will learn to become aware of the limitations of their professional role within the context of the wider service and other agencies, and when to seek advice or signpost clients to other organisations such as CAMHS.
