Description

‘Clinical Teaching and Principles of Assessments’ explores the role of mentoring and how to manage poor performance while managing attitudes and behaviours and an introduction to e-learning.

After taking this module you should be able to define validity, reliability, transparency, feasibility and educational impact when applied to assessment. You will be able to identify the purpose of assessment and choose the appropriate assessment methods according to the purpose of the assessment. You will also construct a blueprint for an assessment in your own speciality and assess performance in structured clinical examinations. You will be able to assist trainee doctors in identifying learning objectives and completing a personal development plan.

This module is assessed through a 3000 word coursework assignment carrying 100% of the final mark
