Description

This module introduces routine clinical processes completed in the audiology clinic and teaches the importance of health and safety processes. You will learn how to perform calibration and daily checks on the equipment used for routine hearing testing. You will also learn how to take a basic history of hearing difficulties, complete questionnaires and routine tests of hearing function, how to instruct people using hearing aids for the first time, and basic hearing aid troubleshooting and repairs. You will learn how to explain test results to patients. You will perform these techniques on other students and on volunteers, and will have tests performed on you.
