This module will teach you the principles of the design and architecture of antibodies, siRNA, stem cells, and CRISPR-Cas 9. You will learn how to use these kinds of non-conventional therapies for different kinds of diseases. In addition, you will learn about modern techniques like high content screening and high throughput screening and how they can be applied to these molecules. Finally protein modelling will be taught.
The unique tutorial and practical sections will equip you with good skills in doing protein modelling with state-of-the-art software and online databases. There will be a workshop to teach you how to critically evaluate the effectiveness of the design of antibodies.
The questions we are asking are:
- What are antibodies? And how many types are there?
- In what therapeutic areas can antibodies be used?
- What are the design concepts of antibodies?
- What are siRNA and stem cells
- What is high content screening?
- How to use CRISPR-Cas 9 in Drug Discovery
