In the post genomic era, use of Bioinformatics is important in many areas of Biomedical Sciences, such as gene sequencing or target discovery, validation, and system biology analysis. Bioinformatics bridge the interface of chemistry and biology. It is essential for our students to understand the basic principles of bioinformatics and their applications related to Medical Sciences. The module will provide an introduction to bioinformatics and computational methods of analysing and interpreting biological and gnomonic data related to Biomedical sciences. It will focus on use of several of publicly available bioinformatics databases. With the practical approaches, students will have a good ability to analysis data in real research environment.
