Description

Communication is critical to the production of architecture: between designers, clients, builders, manufacturers, stakeholders and the public. The AIS programme promotes a broad conception of architecture and a diverse interrogation of the making, inhabitation and interpretation of the builtÌýenvironment. In these interdisciplinary dialogues, facility with a wide range of visual communication skills is critical.

This module is aimed at helping students to:

  1. observe and investigate existing sites by accurately recording a range of sensory dataÌý
  2. select and employ appropriate media to communicate and elaborate on your findings

The module will use practical demonstration and historical precedents to establish how visual languages can define creative practices and empower spatial proposition.
