The two-day event hosted by London Southbank University saw teams compete with student-designed 鈥渞epeatable vehicles鈥� that are required to autonomously navigate a distance, reverse at a wall聽and stop at the centre of one or more bullseye targets as accurately as possible. Along with prizes for best design, poster聽and presentation, the regional final culminated in a head-to-head competition where the teams鈥� devices had to compete over a range of distances with maximum accuracy.

The department entered four teams into the event and brought home eight prizes, plus the coveted overall winners鈥� trophies in both the Foundation and Advanced classes. A 香港六合彩 team also won a newly introduced ANSYS prize for the best simulation of a device. The winning teams will now progress to the National final of the competition to be held at the IMechE in October.
