Son and heir of Anthony Hodges I, brother of Jeremiah Hodges and father of Anthony Hodges III (all of whom q.v.). Under a codicil dated 17/11/1765 to his will [of which administration was granted 1783], he left all his 'negros and other my personal estate in Great Britain and America' in trust for his son Anthony III, 'he paying to my wife 拢300 p.a. till my daughter Eliz. is 21 then 拢200 p.a. and 拢2000 to my dau. at 21.'
