???? - 1844
Son of John Harman. Governor of Bank of England 1816-1818. His appearance in the compensation records for three claims in St Kitts relates to a loan of 拢5000 he made as part of a group of lenders (each advancing 拢5000) to Manning and Anderdon, and must have reflected an effort to rescue the latter firm. Patron of Charles Lock Eastlake, later Keeper of the National Gallery.
