The Modern Law Review Scholarship provides recognition and invaluable support for the final year of researching and writing his thesis. Jack's research explores the effect the relationship between labour law and immigration law has on the vulnerability of migrant workers to exploitation in the UK. His thesis argues that labour law and immigration law are integrated into a unique regulatory framework of 'migrant labour law' which intensifies power inequalities and excludes migrant workers from key mechanisms of labour power, producing structural vulnerabilities to exploitation.Ìý
