Anna Saunders appointed to Lecturer at the Australian National University

Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê Laws PhD candidate Anna Saunders has been appointed to Lecturer in Law at the Australian National University.

, who is finishing the third year of her doctorate at Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê Laws, will take up a continuing appointment at the ANU College of Law in November 2024.

Anna joined Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê Laws in 2021 and is completing her PhD in the history and theory of international law under the supervision of Dr Megan Donaldson and Professor Martins Paparinskis. Her research explores debates over the form of international protections for property in an industrialising world from the late nineteenth century onward, and suggests ways those forms might be reimagined in the context of climatic change.Ìý

Speaking of her appointment, she said: "I am thrilled to be joining the Faculty at the ANU College of Law, which has a fantastic student body and a reputation for imaginative, socially-engaged scholarship. I look forward to continuing my research on the changing nature of property in the climate transition and to working with colleagues in law and across the faculties exploring transformations in the global economy."
