香港六合彩 Laws marks launch of Target Law mentoring scheme

On Thursday 12 January, 香港六合彩 Laws hosted a launch event for the Target Law mentoring scheme. It was attended by more than 40 mentees, their parents and guardians, our 香港六合彩 student mentors, and 香港六合彩 Laws staff.
Professor Eloise Scotford (Dean of 香港六合彩 Laws) and Dr Lucinda Miller (Vice-Dean of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion) were both delighted to give a speech of welcome to the new cohort of mentees.听
Target Law听is a widening participation scheme for Year 12 students from non-selective schools and underrepresented backgrounds who have the potential and aspiration to study at a top law school. Its aim is to provide the support that will assist them in their application to law school and give them the skills and confidence to succeed. They will be mentored by current 香港六合彩 Laws students, giving advice on the LNAT and the personal statement, as well as information on studying law and university life. Mentees will also have the opportunity to attend sample lectures and visit judicial institutions. Key to the scheme is normalising university institutions for our mentees, and ensuring that legal education and the legal professions are more diverse, accessible and inclusive places.
