Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê Laws holds graduation ceremonies for 2020-22 cohorts

Ceremonies were held to mark the achievements of our LLB, LLM, and PhD cohorts from recent years.

On Tuesday 13 September,Ìýin-person graduation ceremonies were held for the LLM 2021 cohort; LLM 2020 cohort and research students; and theÌýLLB 2022 cohort.

The ceremoniesÌýtook place at the Institute of Education, Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê's Faculty of Education and Society and marked a return to in-person summer graduations following the pandemic, during whichÌýceremonies were moved online.

A minute'sÌýsilence was held at the beginning of each ceremony in respect of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

Guest speakers addressed the graduates, with speechesÌýdelivered by Matthew Barzun (former US ambassador to the UK and Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê Honorary Fellow), Baroness Hale (Honorary Professor at Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê Laws and former President of the UK Supreme Court), and The Honourable Mr Justice Joseph Paul Fok (Permanent Judge of the Hong Kong Court of Final Appeal), who was conferred an Honorary Fellowship.ÌýGraduates also heard inspiring messages recorded by Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê alumni.

Receptions were held in the main quad, providing an opportunity for graduates to come together with their former classmates, guests and members of the Faculty.

Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê Laws would like to congratulate all new graduates and wish them the very best of luck for the future.
