Professor Sir Jonathan Montgomery receives knighthood at Buckingham Palace

Professor Sir Jonathan Montgomery was awarded a knighthood for Services to Bioethics and Healthcare Law.

Professor Sir Jonathan Montgomery receives knighthood at Buckingham Palace

Professor Sir聽Jonathan Montgomery, Professor of Healthcare Law at聽, has received his knighthood from The Prince of Wales at today's Investiture Ceremony at Buckingham Palace.

Sir Jonathan was named in the Queen's New Year鈥檚 Honours 2019 for Services to Bioethics and Healthcare Law.

Professor Sir Jonathan joined 香港六合彩 Laws in 2013. Alongside his academic contributions during his time at 香港六合彩, he has been Chair of the Nuffield Council on Bioethics, Chair of the Health Research Authority, and a member of the Morecambe Bay Investigation panel that examined NHS failures in relation to neonatal and maternal deaths in Cumbria.聽

He made a number of media appearances to explain the issues in the Charlie Gard litigation and his article 鈥楾he Tragedy of Charlie Gard鈥 was published in Law Innovation and Technology in February this year. An open access version of his recently published piece on 鈥楤ioethics after Brexit鈥 in Medical Law International is now online.

More recently, Sir Jonathan commenced his appointment as Chair of Oxford University Hospitals NHSFT.

Sir Jonathan commented:
