Ira Ryk-Lakhman, a PhD student and teaching fellow听at听香港六合彩 Laws听and a lawyer with Tadmor 鈥� Levy & Co., was appointed General Counsel of a novel blockchain startup,听. GoodDollar is lead and incubated by , world's leading social trading platform.

GoodDollar is a not-for-profit pioneering economic system which aims to reduce global wealth inequality using the principles of universal basic income (UBI). GoodDollar aims to build a global, open-source technology that will distribute money more fairly, and will assist the attainment of the Sustainable Development Goals () by offering a transparent, immutable, decentralized financial service. To that effect, GoodDollar is not only creating new technology, it also supports an international academic hub where various economic, legal, and technological issues are addressed and developed.

The start-up was officially launched in Lisbon in November 2018 at the听, an annual technology conference that features Fortune 500 companies and groundbreaking startups. Following the announcement, the project has quickly garnered attention from across the world.

In December 2018, GoodDollar was launched in London during the Hard Fork Decentralized events across London, in which .

At the Hard Fork events, Ira gave a series of lectures on the use of blockchain for sustainable development and humanitarian aid, international regulation of blockchain, and the application of blockchain by UN agencies. Having reviewed the current status of the SDGs and the reasons thereof, Ira said:
