Professor Paul S Davies’ Accessory Liability wins Inner Temple Book Prize 2018

Accessory Liability beat three other shortlisted titles to win the main prize, worth £12,000.

Professor Paul S Davies, Professor of Commercial Law atÌýÏã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê Laws, has won the Inner Temple Book Prize 2018 for his bookÌýAccessory Liability.

Accessory Liability, published by ,Ìýoffers an insight into accessory liability in private law for those interested in the law of obligations.

The bookÌýwas also the joint second prize winner of theÌýÌýandÌýhas previously been shortlisted for theÌýSt. Petersburg International Legal Forum Private Law Prize.

The is a triennial competition whichÌýaims to celebrate and reward outstanding contributions to the understanding of law.

Professor Davies commented:

"I am delighted that Accessory Liability has been awarded such a prestigious prize. Accessory liability is important: claimants often bring claims against third parties who participate in wrongs. But, unlike in the criminal context, accessory liability in private law has not received the attention it deserves. I hope that this book will help to stimulate further work in the area."Ìý

The awards will be presented by HRH The Princess Royal on 12th December at the Inner Temple, central London.Ìý
