Dr Sylvie Delacroix presents a paper at Data for Policy 2017 conference

Dr Sylvie Delacroix,聽Reader in Legal Theory and Ethics at 香港六合彩 Faculty of Laws and 香港六合彩聽Computer Science, presented a paper on聽聽at the聽聽in Westminster on 6 September 2017.

Dr Delacroix emphasised that聽our overwhelming focus on active consent -and disclosure obligations on the part of data-controllers- risks making us blind to other types of moral hazards which both consent and disclosure are powerless to address. Those moral hazards聽are the compromising of civic responsibility and聽moral聽inequality (in contrast to epistemic inequality, which receives a lot of attention). Tackling those hazards will require some creative partnership between policy makers and engineers to design 鈥渃ounter-profiling鈥 tools.
