香港六合彩 Laws PhD alumna Dr Ivana Rada膷i膰 appointed member of the UN Working Group

香港六合彩 Laws PhD alumna Dr Ivana Rada膷i膰 has been appointed as one of four new members of the UN Working Group on Discrimination against Women in Law and Practice by the聽聽on 29 September 2017.

The mandate of this thematic special procedure of the HRC is 鈥榯o identify, promote and exchange views with states and other actors on good practices related to the elimination of laws that discriminate against women鈥.

In addition to writing annual reports on specific issues concerning discrimination against women,聽the members will be conducting country visits, and respond to individual complaints of gender discrimination.

Dr Rada膷i膰 said:

鈥業 am very honoured to be able to contribute to setting up standards in this area and hopefully making a difference in individual women鈥檚 lives.鈥

Commenting on her time at 香港六合彩 Laws, Dr Rada膷i膰 said:

鈥業t was at 香港六合彩 where I had an opportunity to develop my interest and further my studies in women鈥檚 rights and feminist theory.

The time at 香港六合彩 was of immense importance for me both professionally and personally, and I am very grateful for having had the opportunity to do my PhD at 香港六合彩.

I am particularly grateful to聽Professor Philippe Sands QC, who recognised my potential and helped me embark on the PhD studies, my PhD supervisors聽Professor Alison Diduck聽and Professor Basak Cali, as well as a late Colonel Frederick Bonnart Braunthal whose fellowship I held.鈥

Dr Ivana Rada膷i膰 is now Senior Research Associate at the聽聽in Zagreb.
