20 June 2017
Professor Dame Hazel Genn, Dean of Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê Laws, was delighted to remove the first part of the scaffolding of Bentham House as the redevelopment reaches another key milestone
With the removal of the first piece of the scaffold, the new frontage of the Endsleigh Street view of ÌýBentham House has finally become visible to the public. This also allows the five-storey glass atrium at the rear of the building to see daylight for the first time. The new frontage and atrium represent key deliverables in Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê’s ambitious redevelopment plans for Bentham House, home to Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê Laws since 1964.
The redevelopment of Bentham House is part of a two year, £24 million re-development toÌýcreate additional space, improve accessibility and integrate all existing parts of the Faculty, while maintaining and protecting Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê Laws’ beloved home for the future. Staff and students are due to return to Bentham House in late 2017.
