Access Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê

Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê Laws participates in the Access Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê Scheme for undergraduate admissions.

Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê Laws is committed to widening access to higher education. We are committed to diversifying our community, in particular, supporting students from a variety of backgrounds to complete a degree in Law and develop a career in the legal profession. As part of this commitment, applicants may be eligible for a contextual offer through the faculty’s membership of the Access Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê Scheme.

The information on this webpage is relevant for academic year 2024/5. Our eligibility criteria and datasets will be changing for the 2026 UCAS cycle, so if you are applying in that cycle you will need to check this webpage and the central Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê webpage again after it has been updated in September 2025.

Our contextual offer for Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê Laws is AAB.

Access Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê is a contextual offer scheme for applicants from groups that are underrepresented at Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê. Eligible applicants will receive a contextual offer that is lower than the standard offer for the programme they have applied for. For the Faculty of Laws, this means eligible applicants will receive an offer of AAB instead of the standard offer of A*AA.

How to apply

You do not need to make an additional application to be considered for the Access Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê scheme. Your application will be considered once we have received your application from UCAS.

Receiving an Access Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê Offer from the Faculty of Laws

If you are eligible for Access Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê and your application is successful you will receive a contextual offer which is lower than the standard offer for the programme you have applied for. This offer will be communicated to you via UCAS in the same way as other offers. You may then  to this offer in the usual way.

All applicants to Faculty of Laws undergraduate programmes must complete the LNAT test in order to be considered. This applies even if you are eligible for the Access Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê scheme. Full information about the academic and additional entry requirements can be found here.
