OneDrive for Business is a cloud storage platform hosted on Microsoft 365 to enable personal collaboration.

How to access OneDrive for Business

The recommended method to access your OneDrive is to sign-in via your web browser. Visit the and sign in using the same username and password as your email account (e.g. userID@ucl.ac.uk). You can also open your OneDrive while signed in to by selecting the app launcher menu (within the top-left corner of your web browser window) and then 'OneDrive'.

  • The data on your OneDrive are private until you share them.
  • You can share data with Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê users or external users.
  • Permissions can changed to allow people to Edit or just View.

  • Version history allows you to restore older versions of your files.
  • If a file has been deleted from your OneDrive, you can recover it for up to 93 days from the OneDrive recycle bin.
  • 'Restore your OneDrive' allows you to undo all actions on your OneDrive within the last 30 days.

  • File requests allow you to give people permission to drop off files in a designated folder.
  • They can only upload files.
  • They cannot view, edit or download any files from that folder.

OneDrive Clinics are on offer to Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê users, the aim of the OneDrive clinics is to provide 20-minute Teams sessions to discuss and provide information about the features, functionalities and benefits of using OneDrive to assist user understanding of the platform.
