Genetic Therapy Accelerator Centre

The mission of the Centre is to embed the Genetic Therapy Accelerator Centre into the basic and clinical research as a cross-cutting activity across the Institute of Neurology, Queen Square and the Great Ormond Street Institute of Child Health (IoN QS and GOS ICH).

The Centre combines laboratory and clinical expertise focused on neurological disorders, their mechanisms of disease and RNA and AAV gene therapy expertise. The Centre facilitates cutting-edge RNA and gene therapy programs to听pursue discovery of novel therapies using RNA and AAV technologies, with identification and refinement of target for therapeutic intervention.听

The centre is听based at ION QS, and subsequently will be at the new 拢281m Translational Neuroscience building on Grays Inn Road in 2025. It will combine laboratory and clinical expertise focused on neurological, neuromuscular and neurodegenerative disorders, their mechanisms of disease and cutting-edge RNA and AAV gene therapy expertise and foster cross-institutional collaborations between ION QS and GOSH ICH.
