Since 2000, the International Max Planck Research Schools (IMPRS) have become a permanent part of the Max Planck Society'sÌýefforts to promote Ph.D. students. Talented German and foreign junior scientists are offered the opportunity to earn a doctorate under excellent research conditions. A shared characteristics of the graduate programmes at Max Planck Institutes is a close colloboration with universities.Ìý

TheÌýInternational Max Planck Research School on Computational Methods in Psychiatry and Ageing ResearchÌý(IMPRS COMP2PSYCH) teaches and trains concepts and methods from computer science and statistics in relation to substantive research questions in psychiatry and lifespan psychology. In close collaboration with theÌýMax Planck Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê Centre for Computational Psychiatry and Ageing Research, it gives pre-doctoral fellows the opportunity to learn, apply, and develop computational and statistical methods that foster our understanding of individual development from childhood to old age, with an emphasis on mental illness and healthy cognitive ageing.

We are also pleased to announce that Professor Dolan's Co-Director Ulman Lindenberger has taken up the role of Vice-President of the Max Planck Society, whereÌýhis specific brief is International Affairs.
