Call for Visiting Research Fellows at the Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê Critical Childhood Studies Centre (CCSC)

We welcome applications from post-doctoral, mid-career and senior scholars, for in-person or virtual fellowships. Apply by 4th October 2024 for an Autumn start, or by 6th December for a Spring/Summer start.

CCSC VRFs

We welcome applications from post-doctoral, mid-career and senior scholars for in-person or virtual non-stipendiary Visiting Research Fellows at the Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê Critical Childhood Studies Centre (CCSC), to spend between three and nine months with us in the 2024/25 academic year, starting in the Autumn term.

In-person Fellowships

We will provide shared desk space, membership of the CCSC and IAS research communities, access to Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê resources including the library, full participation in CCSC and IAS events (e.g. seminars, workshops and conferences) and a framework in which you can present your research and participate in a research community. Ìý

In return, we ask that you make a case as to why being at the Centre will be beneficial for you and how, in turn, you will contribute to the CCSC and to the IAS. We would expect you to be on Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê campus at least once/week during term-time,Ìýbut we will consider alternative arrangements in exceptional cases.

Virtual Fellowships

We anticipate people will apply for Virtual Fellowships due to legal or financial barriers to mobility and/or because their Fellowship project has a focus on (re)building in their local area.

We will provide membership of the CCSC and IAS research communities, access to Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê's online resources including the library, participation in online CCSC and IAS events, and a framework in which you can present your research and participate in a research community (e.g., online meetings and events with Centre members and the public).

In return, we ask that you make a case as to why being at the Centre will be beneficial for you and how, in turn, you will contribute to the CCSC and to the IAS using online fora.Ìý
