The Moving Objects symposium (IAS Common Ground, 12.00-17.00 on 14 March) brings together creatives, academics and researchers to discuss the relationship between heritage, the arts, displacement and wellbeing, as well as the process of co-curating the Moving Objects: Stories of Displacement exhibition which is on display at the Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê Octagon space between 18 February and 1 October 2019.

The Moving Objects exhibition will be formally launched in the Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê Pearson Building from 18:00-20:00 on 14 March, including a tour of the exhibition, guest speakers and contributions from the exhibition's co-curators over dinks and nibbles.

Moving Objects: Stories of Displacement draws on Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê-based projects working with ,Ìý,Ìý, and the  in partnership with the .

The exhibition and symposium are jointly led by Dr Beverley Butler (Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê Institute of Archaeology), Professor Helen Chatterjee (Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê Biosciences), Alejandra Carles-Tolra and Jessy Boon Cowler (Helen Bamber Foundation, Photography Group) and Professor Elena Fiddian-Qasmiyeh (Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê Geography).

This exhibition is presented by Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê Culture, and the exhibition, symposium and launch are funded through the Centre for Critical Heritage Studies Small Grants Scheme, the Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê Grand Challenges Programme, and the Department of Geography.
