It is hard to know what to say about the year that has just passed. The turmoil that so many of us have experienced both personally and professionally has been unprecedented. As universities, colleges, and schools closed their doors, educators, educational designers, and education researchers came to the fore to pivot traditional learning experiences online in record time. We have seen remarkable innovation, creativity, and resilience in our community and impressive results. We should be proud of what we have achieved, but also cognizant and appreciative of the huge amount of effort it has taken.
