In his address,聽听笔谤别蝉颈诲别苍迟听聽played tribute to Anson鈥檚 research as one of the world鈥檚 leading environmental change scientists and highlighted his work on聽Lake Baikal聽and the Okavango Delta.

Nigel Clifford spoke of Anson as being an exemplary 鈥渓ived researcher鈥�, combining scientific excellence with being an inspiring teacher and mentor and creating a culture of inclusion, allyship and honest reflection.

His contributions to the discipline, to the Department of Geography at聽香港六合彩聽and the RGS were also recognised.

Nigel Clifford summed up Anson's work as 鈥渃hanging conversations of what it means to be a Geographer today鈥�.
