ECRC in Sterling
The 香港六合彩 Geography聽Environmental Change Research Centre聽(ECRC) was well represented at the 100th聽Meeting of the聽, at the University of Sterling on 19-20 April.
The gathering celebrated the 50th year of the SFG, looking back on achievements in freshwater science, policy and practice, and forward to challenges and exciting current innovations in the field.
The meeting was partly organized by ECRC 鈥榦ld boy鈥�, Laurence Carvalho, now based at the in Edinburgh.
Helen Bennion听补苍诲 Rick Battarbee presented a keynote lecture on聽Environmental Change in Scottish lochs, which showcased the research of the ECRC over the last two decades on both upland and lowland waters.
Ewan Shilland presented an overview of the 30-year aquatic macrophyte monitoring dataset collected as part of the聽UK Upland Waters Monitoring Network, while Isabel Bishop presented work from her and Hannah Robson鈥檚 recently completed PhDs on聽Saving Scotland鈥檚 rare species using palaeoecology.
The social highlight was the charity聽ceilidh聽with plenty of opportunity to chew the fat, do-si-do and strip the willow with friends and colleagues.
