Geodemographic applications of Big Data

Two new PhDs have recently been awarded to members of the Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê Geography Geospatial Analysis and Computing Group.

Dr Alistair Leak attended the graduation ceremony at London's Queen Elizabeth Hall on 13 March, following the successful completion of his study last year, Applications of New Forms of Data to Demographics.

Not far behind, on 26thÌý¹ó±ð²ú°ù³Ü²¹°ù²â,Ìý researcher, Guy Lansley, successfully defended his doctoral thesis on Big Data: Geodemographics and Representation.

Alistair is now a postdoctoral researcher in the Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê Bartlett Centre for Advanced Spatial Analysis, working on an project with Transport for West Midlands.
