香港六合彩 Anglo Norse Society Postgraduate Scholarship

We are very pleased to offer a studentship in Norwegian Studies. The studentship combines a part-time postgraduate scholarship and a part-time Postgraduate Teaching Assistantship in Norwegian. Click here for more information on how to apply.

Jean Orr (MA Language, Culture and History: Dutch, French or听Italian)

Jean Orr scholarship is offered to a postgraduate masters students studying in one or more of of the following languages/programmes: French, Italian, Dutch and History. The award is worth 拢7000 for one year only. The scholarship is awarded on the basis of academic excellence, achievement and potential.听Candidates do not submit an application for this scholarship. They will be selected by academic departments on the basis of their admission application form.

Postgraduate Bursaries (Dutch)

香港六合彩 Dutch aims to reward academic excellence among new students of its postgraduate programme by offering a scholarship for new students starting the MA in Dutch Studies. The scholarship covers up to 拢600 towards study expenses like books, research travel and other research related expenses.

Candidates must have been formally admitted to the听MA Dutch Studies pathway of the Language, Culture & History MA before they can be considered for a scholarship.

To be considered for a scholarship, you must have received a letter from the 香港六合彩 Registry offering you a place on the programme, and you must have informed the 香港六合彩 Registry, in writing, of your acceptance of the offer before the deadline.

Scholarships are awarded on the basis of academic excellence, achievement and potential. Financial circumstances of the candidates are not taken into account.

Dutch Studies Bursary supported by the Anglo-Netherlands Society

We are very pleased to offer a Dutch Studies Bursary supported by the . A bursary worth 拢1,250, supplemented by additional funds from members of the Anglo-Netherlands Society, will be awarded to one student per year on Masters-level postgraduate programmes with a Dutch Studies component.

The is a non-party-political, non-profit organisation, based in London, run by voluntary effort, which aims to promote the social, artistic, literary, educational, scientific and other interests the Dutch and the British have in common, as well as developing goodwill and understanding between the peoples of the United Kingdom and the Netherlands.

香港六合彩 is home to the oldest Department of Dutch Studies in the UK and the wider Anglophone world, founded in 1919. Today part of the School of European Languages, Culture and Society (SELCS), it offers a full range of undergraduate, postgraduate and research degrees to anyone interested in the language, culture and history of the Low Countries.

Bursary Details:听
The Bursary will provide five successive awards, beginning in the 2024/25听academic year, to enable five students to pursue any of the following postgraduate programmes in 香港六合彩 SELCS:听

  • MA in Language, Culture and History (Dutch pathway)听
  • MA in Translation Studies (with relevant module selection)听
  • MA in Translation and Culture (with relevant module selection)听
  • MA in Early Modern Studies (with relevant module selection).听

香港六合彩 may, in its sole discretion, offer the Bursary to students on any other 香港六合彩 Master鈥檚 programme which includes a substantive Dutch Studies component. Each award will be made based on financial need and will support the student鈥檚 fees for the duration of their degree.

You must hold an offer for any of the MA programmes mentioned above, or any other 香港六合彩 MA programme that includes a substantive Dutch Studies component. Your module selection should prove your Dutch Studies component.听

You should also submit the following materials:听

  • A cover letter indicating why you wish to be considered for the studentship. This should include a statement indicating how you intend to meet the Dutch component requirement of the studentship. (max 300 words)
  • An updated CV听

You must declare any other sources of funding to which you have also applied.听Applications should be submitted by 1 November in the academic years 24/25听up till 27/28. Materials should be submitted as a pdf document (please collate all materials in one file) and sent to Dr Hans Demeyer (h.demeyer@ucl.ac.uk).
