Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê European Institute is delighted to announce a collaboration with Larisa Faber in the context of the European Literary Map of London project.Ìý

Writer, director and actor  will be collaborating with Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê European Institute and the Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê Faculty of Arts and Humanities in the summer term, in the context of the European Literary Map of London project, and an ongoing partnership with EUNIC London, the European Literature Network and the , curated by Rosie Goldsmith.Ìý   

Larisa will be working to develop an irreverently multivocal text about the politics of seasonal vegetables – which will feature on the European Literary Map of London as the first Luxembourgish entry. She will also have the opportunity to work closely with Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê’s 2024 European Literary Map of London Writer in Residence, Joanna Elmy.

Commenting on her upcoming work with Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê, Larisa Faber said:   

I'm delighted to be able to work with Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê European Institute, the Faculty of Arts & Humanities and their European Literary Map of London project for the first-ever Luxembourgish entry: a text about asparagus, seasonal migrant veg pickers and food politics - from the point of view of the asparagus. In true Luxembourg fashion the text will be polyphonic and in true personal fashion it'll be madcap.Ìý This collaboration will also allow me to connect with Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê staff, as well as presenting an exciting opportunity for me to lead a performance-based workshop for Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê students. The immersion in academic study, writing and exchange is a space I've long hoped to be able to return to and the timing could not be more perfect. After all, asparagus season is beckoning. Who will be picking your "white gold" this spring?

The Luxembourg Embassy is delighted that Larisa Faber will be collaborating with the Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê European Institute and the Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê Faculty of Arts and Humanities to produce Luxembourg’s first contribution to the European Literary Map of London. Larisa is a talented young writer, whose work deals with socio-political taboos while exuding passion and humour. Larisa will have the opportunity to collaborate closely with Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê staff and students by leading a performance-based workshop ahead of her participation in the European Writers’ Festival at the British Library on 18-19 May.Ìý
